Professor Ben is the Dean of International Business School and Academy of Internet Finance, Zhejiang University, and an Adjunct Professor of Shanghai Institute for Advanced Study of Zhejiang University (SIAS).

Before joining Zhejiang University as a full-time professor in May 2014, Dr. Ben served in multiple financial services firms like ABN AMRO, HSBC and most recently at JPMorgan Chase as the China CEO,  JPMorgan Chase Bank.

Dr. Ben is a well-trusted advisor to public and private organizations. He is the Joint Chairman of Zhejiang Association of Internet Finance; Director of International Monetary Institute, Renmin University of China; Counselor to Zhejiang Provincial Government and a member of Standing Committee & Vice-Chairman of its Economic Commission of Zhejiang CPPCC. He is also a non-executive board director of leading companies including China International Capital Corporation and Tsingtao Brewery.

Dr Ben has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Tsinghua University, a Master’s degree in management from Renmin University of China and Ph.D. in Economics from Purdue University, USA.

His research interests include international finance, Fintech, entrepreneurial finance, and global business.
