Shanghai Institute for Advanced Study of Zhejiang University (SIAS) and Shanghai Aritifical Intelligence Laboratory are jointly launching a few significant projects, including but not limited to the 'Computing + high-performance machine learning',  'Computing + immune antigen peptide design'  and 'Computing + AI in Education' .  Under the collaboration, we are looking to carry out innovative research in financial risk management, AI-powered softwares to manage carbon emissions,  as well as implentation of AI in life Sciences and the education industry.  With a focus on the aformentioned research directions, we are actively seeking researchers through the highly competitive, well funded Zhejiang University Hundred Talents Program, algorithm engineers, as well as postdoctoral fellows across various domains. The two parties will estalish dual employement opportunities that provide internationally competitive salary and benefits. 

Multiple Positions Opening

1) Researchers through the ZJU Hundred Talents Program (Location:Shanghai)

1. The selected candidate will be employed as a researcher via the Hundred Talents Program at ZJU. The candidate will be eligible to hire one doctoral student per year and enter the tenure-track system of ZJU.  The candidate can also be employed as a full-time PI of Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory according to work requirements. 

2. Applicants should be around 35 years old and have obtained a PhD degree from a world-renowned university, either domestics or overseas. The applicant should be a top-notch talent among his or her peers and have the potential to become a leader in the field. 

3. Candidates may be eligible to apply for the Shanghai Talent apartment with a very competitive salary based on their qualifications. Zhejiang University has been actively creating opportunities for researchers within this program, who have passed the long-term faculty evaluation to participate in the housing purchases.  Also, ZJU Actively recommends and assists researchers in the application of National and Shanghai youth talent programs. if selected, the researchers can enjoy the corresponding subsidies, provided by the state and Shanghai City. 

2) Algorithms Engineers (Location: Shanghai)

1. The candidate should have engineering research and development capability in artificial intelligence, material synthesis, low-carbon energy engineering simulation and other relative fields.

2. Applicants should be around 35 years old, with large system development experience and team management ability.

3. Candidates may be eligible to apply for the Shanghai Talent apartment with a very competitive salary based on their qualifications. SIAS will acitively assist our staff with the application of National and Shanghai youth talents programs, if selected, the engineers can enjoy the corresponding subsdies, provided by the state and Shanghai City. 

3) Post-doctoral Research Fellow

1.The candidate should have obtained a PhD degree from a world renowned university, either from domestics or overseas.

2. The candidate should have an outstanding research foundation in the aformentioned related fields. The ideal candidate should be innovative, able to conduct independent research, as well as performing in a group context. 

3. Have experience in managing complicated tasks, solving analytical problems by using quantitiative approach, as well as having the ability to communicate research progress. 

4. In principle, the applicant should be no more than 35 years old in the year of application (within 3 years after doctoral graduation)
